About our show

Song Sung Blue is a celebration of the music of Neil Diamond, performed live by Stephen Amer with his band, Play It Now, and backing singers Charlotte and Daisy.

Neil Diamond wrote some of the most loved songs of the last sixty years. Some he made famous himself, like Sweet Caroline, Cracklin’ Rosie and Forever in Blue Jeans. Others became hits for other artists, like I’m a Believer and Red Red Wine.

Song Sung Blue brings them all together in one night: the big singalongs, the quieter ballads, and plenty of songs you’ll be surprised to find you know every word to.

This isn’t a lookalike act. It’s about the songs, played by a real band and sung with the warmth and passion they deserve. Stephen keeps things relaxed and personal between numbers, with a few stories about Neil and his music along the way, and by the end of the night the whole room is usually singing along.
